Normalyze Co-Founder and CTO, Ravi Ithal, to Keynote at Cloud Container Sec Summit 2022

SAN FRANCISCO, SEPTEMBER 21, 2022 – Normalyze, a data-first cloud security platform, today announced Ravi Ithal, the company’s Co-founder and CTO, will be a keynote speaker at Cloud Container Sec Summit on October 4, 2022 with a talk titled, “Why Cloud-Native Requires New Approaches for Data Security.”

Cloud Container Sec Summit 2022 explores the fundamentals behind securing cloud and container environments against the evolving threat landscape. Attendees will hear from industry leaders what the modern threat landscape looks like and best practices to protect their organizations.

The age-old questions that are central to data security, “Where is my data and who can access it?” – have become very hard to answer in the new world of cloud native application development with microservices, CICD and infrastructure as code. Not only is the data getting proliferated but the access and paths to the data as well. Yet, even though securing data is central to InfoSec, neither third party tools nor the major service providers do enough to help you answer these questions. In the shared responsibility model, it’s on your organization to ensure that security access controls are properly configured for multi-cloud environments. In Ithal’s session, he will discuss the challenges associated with modern data security and new ways to better discover and secure data in native-cloud environments.

Ithal has extensive background in enterprise and cloud security. Before Normalyze, Ravi was the cofounder and chief architect of Netskope, a leading provider of cloud-native solutions to businesses for data protection and defense against threats in the cloud. Prior to Netskope, Ravi was one of the founding engineers of Palo Alto Networks. Prior to his time at Palo Alto Networks, Ravi held engineering roles at Juniper and Cisco.

“I’m humbled to be speaking at Cloud Container Sec Summit on a topic that is not only important to me, but a massive and complex issue for many organizations today. Please join us for a day of brilliant speakers and interesting talks on the modern security landscape,” said Ithal.

“It’s speakers like Ravi that make CloudContainerSec Summit a can’t miss event,” said Alan Shimel, CEO of Techstrong Group, producers of CloudContainerSec Summit. “If you are interested in Security for cloud container environments join us October 4th to see a full line up of great sessions.”

Ithal’s session will air from 10:00-10:45am ET on October 4, 2022. To register, please visit this link.
