Normalyze was founded by security veterans, Amer Deeba and Ravi Ithal.

Both Ravi and Amer have successful track records in building and scaling cybersecurity companies and making these solutions ubiquitous.

Amer Deeba

Co-founder & CEO

Short bio

Amer is a senior go-to-market executive with extensive experience in driving both product, marketing and sales go-to-market strategies for enterprise and cloud technologies. In his 17 years tenure at Qualys (NASDAQ: QLYS), Amer led all aspects of marketing, business development, strategic alliances and global enterprise accounts. He also played an instrumental role in taking the company public in 2012.

Ravi Ithal

Co-founder & CTO

Short bio

Ravi has extensive background in enterprise and cloud security. Before Normalyze, Ravi was the cofounder and chief architect of Netskope, a leading provider of cloud-native solutions to businesses for data protection and defense against threats in the cloud. Prior to Netskope, Ravi was one of the founding engineers of Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW). Prior to his time at Palo Alto Networks, Ravi held engineering roles at Juniper (NASDAQ: JNPR) and Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO).

Gautam Kanaparthi

Head of Product

Short bio

Gautam is a strategic product leader, passionate about building and scaling market changing cybersecurity products. At Netskope, Gautam built multiple products from the ground up to help the company address new customer problems including Nextgen Secure Web Gateway, Advanced Analytics and Malware Scanning. Prior to Netskope, he was the principal product manager for Symantec Endpoint Security.

Sasha Emmerling

Head of Marketing & Growth

Short bio

Sasha is a senior marketing executive passionate about innovation and data security and is responsible for driving growth and market leadership. Prior to Normalyze, Sasha held leadership roles at VMware, where she executed go-to-market strategies for product portfolios including NSX, SD-WAN, and SASE. She also led demand generation at Qualys for over six years.

Joe is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer support and driving innovation for enterprise technologies. Prior to Normalyze, he spent 10+ years at Qualys (NASDAQ: QLYS), leading their Global Customer Support operations. Joe was an integral part of the release and support of over 20 new products while overhauling the entire customer experience. With an additional 13 years as an Electronic Warfare Specialist in the US Air Force, Joe brings a unique perspective and is a vocal champion for end users.

Tim is a proven leader of solutions engineering teams on a national level, with extensive experienced in working closely with customers to understand their security needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
